Principal Alisheia Scott, Ed.S

Mrs. Alisheia Scott proudly serves as the Principal of Riverwood Elementary School, bringing a passion for students, families, and joyful learning to the Riverwood community. Originally from Saginaw, Michigan, Mrs. Scott began her career as an elementary classroom teacher in Georgia and Mississippi before joining Memphis-Shelby County Schools as a school counselor. Throughout her journey, she has been known for building strong relationships, fostering inclusive school communities, and helping students feel seen, supported, and confident.

Mrs. Scott’s leadership path includes serving as a PLC Coach and Assistant Principal at Douglass K-8 Optional School and later as Assistant Principal right here at Riverwood Elementary—making this role a true homecoming. She holds degrees in English, School Counseling, and Educational Leadership, and is currently pursuing her doctorate. Mrs. Scott believes that great schools grow when academics and character go hand in hand, and she is excited to continue partnering with Riverwood families, staff, and students to create a school where every child can thrive, dream big, and succeed.

Dr. Smith-Johnson, Assistant Principal

Dr. Ramone C. Smith-Johnson proudly serves as the Assistant Principal of Riverwood Elementary School, where he brings energy, heart, and a deep commitment to helping every child shine. From greeting students with a smile each morning to supporting classrooms and celebrating successes, Dr. Smith-Johnson works daily to ensure Riverwood is a joyful, safe, and engaging place where students feel valued, encouraged, and excited to learn.

As a first-generation college graduate and passionate educator, Dr. Smith-Johnson believes that strong partnerships between families and schools create the best outcomes for children. He is dedicated to building meaningful relationships, supporting academic growth, and helping students develop confidence and a love for learning. Dr. Smith-Johnson is honored to serve the Riverwood community and looks forward to working alongside families as students learn, grow, and thrive.

Ms. White, Assistant Principal

Ms. Titantia White is an Assistant Principal at Riverwood Elementary Optional School in Memphis-Shelby County Schools, where she serves students in grades PK–5. With a background as a Professional School Counselor, Reading Interventionist, and a Teacher for 11 years, she brings a student-centered, data-driven approach to instructional leadership, school culture, and operational excellence. 

Assistant Principal White is known for her collaborative leadership style, commitment to academic achievement, and passion for building strong partnerships with staff, families, and the community. She is dedicated to creating engaging, equitable learning environments where all students can thrive.
